Frequently Asked Questions

  • Watch the quick guide video!

Every answer should have full context; the more information, the better. Avoid using third-person pronouns, like “he, she, and they” unless the subject has been identified in the same answer.

  • If the prompt read: “Describe your pet.”

A complete answer would be something like: “My cat, Chimi, is a fat, gray lump that likes to sleep on the headrest of our living room couch all day.”

The answer includes the name of the pet, what kind of pet it is, and provides additional information.

  • Be as honest as you can, but only answer what you want us to know. Do NOT include information that could affect your safety like your exact address, financial information, social security number, etc.

  • A few typos won’t affect your questionnaire. The AI is resilient to bad grammar and typos. If you want your character to use alternative grammar, define it in the “Communication Section” section of the questionnaire.

  • Your answers are stored independently of the question. Although you can add an anecdote about your cat in the sports section, we recommend keeping things organized.

  • Answer as many questions as you’d like and feel free to revisit your questionnaire at your convenience. There’s no rush, and we encourage you to update it as your life takes new turns or old memories resurface.

  • These questions are mapped to a portion of the AI that will have a greater effect on your character. Answer them carefully, including information that you want to be most pronounced in the final result. You can leave them blank if your prefer.

  • No. Your conversations with AI characters are strictly private. We do not mine data from them or share them with third parties beyond secure storage and transmission to you.

  • You can create multiple versions of yourself over time — think of them as snapshots of your personality and opinions — but you can only have one “personal” or “autobiographical” character. These characters are unique because they are the only type included in queries of anonymous statistical data.

  • No, only people with compatible, autobiographical AI characters will be able to even see that you are seeking a relationship. They too must be seeking a relationship with someone like you.

  • AI tech is rapidly evolving. While answering more questions and being thorough will greatly improve the accuracy of your character, we can’t guarantee it won’t occasionally hallucinate or get things wrong.
